Mykestesia

  • A posthuman intruder of the Anthropocene, a plausible mutant, Mykestesia reproduces the involuntary resistance strategies of mushrooms "at the end of the world," which grow in degraded landscapes through productive collaboration with other species. This absent but fatally anthropomorphic subject tries to be born in an indefinite future, projecting its roots out of the ground.

  • Year unknown. C. follows a man at his house, after a presumably pleasent evening, to conversate and drink without any particoular intention. The host initial gentle reception gradually turns into an elegant yet disturbing investigation, which step by step puts the guest in a position of anguish dutifully veiled by his own politeness. The absurd thus enters the reality of the house, from which the camera never left, and its inhabitants, showing the more vivid side of an ironic nightmare.
