PIPYA is a project emerged from the desire to explore the boundaries between the possibilities offered by electronic experiences and various genres of instrumental and underground sonorities. The aim is to transcend the limits imposed by labels and to propose a cross-cutting musical vision capable of generating new imagery.

In live performances, PIPYA performs as a solo or with the quartet PIPYA And The GangBand, with whom he rearranges his repertoire: the group brings together members who, despite coming from diverse musical backgrounds, share a similar vision of music, sound, and improvisation. From this union emerges a sound that blends Electronic Music, Clubbing, Post-Rock, Prog, New Jazz, and Avant-Garde, creating a wall of sound where synthesizers, heavy basslines, acoustic and electronic drums, transformed saxophones, and distorted guitars all converge.

The project has been part of Montreux Jazz Festival Residencies 2024 and is managed by Panico Concerti.

  • And The Gang Band Vol.I is the third album under the project PIPYA, but the first that includes all the four members of the live project Pipya And The Gang Band, plus other instrumental collaborations.

  • Dungeon Clash Tournament is an eight-tracks-album that involves eight different featurings with artists from the european scene. The LP seek for a confrontation between different languages, genres and sonorities inside an arcade game aesthetics concept where every feat is a videogame "layer".

  • BANG is a suite conceptualized around the match between different genres and musical contexts usually far apart one another. In each song the sonorities are constantly changing, presenting themselves in different forms, experiencing various genres, from idm to techno, from progressive to art rock. The album also presents a research on digital instruments from the period (2018-2021), challenging the possibilities of simple MIDI VST to obtain a realistic but mind-bending result.
